About BrewGod

Our Mission

BrewGod was founded with a simple yet powerful mission: to help home brewers everywhere make better beer, through approachable guidance and free tools that make calculating ABV, dialing in bitterness, priming for carbonation, and hitting your mash temperature clearer, more rewarding, and more practical.

We believe that everyone who brews, from first-time kit brewers to seasoned all-grain hobbyists, deserves access to accurate tools, comprehensive resources, and trustworthy guidance. Our platform bridges the gap between confusing numbers and confident, well-informed decisions about recipes and gravity, hops and bitterness, color and carbonation, and brewing smarter.

Through our free collection of tools, we help brewers make informed decisions about alcohol content, IBU, priming sugar, strike water, beer color, and gravity conversions. Every tool is designed with real-world applicability in mind, tested against established brewing formulas, and continuously improved based on user feedback. To go deeper, explore our Beer & Brewing museum, with galleries on beer styles, brewing ingredients, brewing equipment, and beer culture and glassware.

Our Story

BrewGod emerged from a need we experienced firsthand. While trying to sort through conflicting advice and scattered formulas, we noticed a common challenge: the lack of accessible, accurate tools for the everyday calculations that come with brewing a batch of beer.

Good brewing relies heavily on experience and a little know-how, which are invaluable. However, a confident brewer also benefits from clear answers about how strong a beer will be, how bitter the hops will make it, how much priming sugar to add, what temperature to strike the mash, and what color the grain bill will give. We saw an opportunity to combine well-researched brewing knowledge with modern tools to help people make confident decisions about every batch.

Our team began building the tools we wished existed when we brewed our first batches. Each calculator was created to solve a real problem encountered on brew day — from gravity readings to hop schedules to bottle conditioning. We tested every tool against established brewing formulas, refined the logic based on feedback, and made sure the results matched real-world results in the fermenter.

Today, BrewGod serves active users worldwide, from weekend kit brewers to dedicated all-grain enthusiasts. Our tools have helped people calculate ABV, dial in IBU, prime for carbonation, hit mash temperatures, estimate beer color, and convert gravity readings, and make more deliberate, confident brewing decisions.

Our Core Values

Our Expertise

BrewGod’s tools and guides are developed and maintained by a team with hands-on experience across multiple areas:

Our team includes experienced home brewers, writers, and reviewers who bring years of combined experience to tool development. We regularly consult established brewing references to ensure our content reflects current best practices. Our content is general informational and educational content, NOT professional or safety advice; results vary — brew responsibly and follow safe practices, and check your local laws on home brewing.

Looking Forward

The future of home brewing lies in the intelligent combination of hands-on craft and proven formulas with modern tools and clear knowledge. At BrewGod, we’re committed to staying at the forefront of this evolution.

Our development roadmap includes expanded tools for recipe building, water chemistry, yeast pitching, and carbonation. We’re also working on multilingual support to serve the global community of brewers better, and developing specialized guidance for different beer styles and brewing methods.

Most importantly, we remain committed to keeping our tools free and accessible. As we grow, we’ll continue to prioritize user needs, ensuring that every brewer has access to practical brewing tools regardless of their budget.
